Atelier Māya is Berlin’s first research-led block-printing and textile-design atelier. The atelier offers workshops focused on hand block printing, resist techniques, and responsible colour systems. Our workshops are rooted in heritage craft, material research, and contemporary design thinking. We invite participants to slow down, work with their hands, and engage deeply with process.

Rather than quick results or decorative outcomes, Māya offers a considered approach to textile practice. We work with eco-friendly, studio-mixed inks, natural fibres, and experimental print methods developed through field research and long-term craft study. Each workshop explores pattern, surface, rhythm, and colour through a sustainable, process-led lens.

Our block printing workshops in Berlin are designed for artists, designers, and curious makers seeking a meaningful, tactile experience. Our work and explorations are those that balance tradition, experimentation, and thoughtful making in an intimate studio setting.

A full-day print and stich workshop exploring the harmony between hand block printing and sashiko stitching.

Four- to five-hour one-on-one masterclasses in our boutique print atelier in Berlin.
