Booking, Cancellation & Studio Policy
Atelier Māya workshops and in-person events are carefully planned, private, small-group experiences with limited availability. We take care to prepare materials and do studio preparation in advance of all our atelier experiences. Scheduling of our own workshops, talks, community sessions, guest workshops and experiences is arranged in advance based on confirmed participant numbers.
For this reason, and to ensure fairness to all participants and the sustainability of the studio, the following terms apply to all bookings:
Booking & Cancellation
All workshop bookings constitute a legally binding agreement upon confirmation of payment.
Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled workshop date are eligible for a full refund or, upon request, a workshop credit.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop date are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Non-attendance on the day of the workshop is treated as a late cancellation and is non-refundable.
Travel disruptions, strikes, delays, illness, and personal circumstances remain the responsibility of the participant.
In the unlikely event that Atelier Māya must cancel a workshop, participants will receive a full refund of the booking fee. Atelier Māya is not liable for any additional costs incurred by participants, including travel or accommodation.
Right of Admission, Exclusion & Studio Conduct
Atelier Māya reserves the right of admission and may refuse participation or remove individuals from the studio in cases of inappropriate behaviour, safety concerns, boundary violations, harassment, or violation of studio rules, without entitlement to a refund.
Individuals who have been formally prohibited from entering the premises or participating in Atelier Māya activities are not permitted to book, attend, or access any workshops, events, or services. Any such bookings will be void and not eligible for a refund.
For the protection of the intellectual property of our work and the work of our collaborators or the artists we work with, for privacy reasons, and protection of the studio environment, photography and video recording are not permitted during workshops unless permission is granted by Atelier Māya and all participants of the session agree.
Data Protection (GDPR)
By booking a workshop, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal data (including name, email address, and booking details) solely for the purposes of workshop administration, communication, and legal compliance.
Personal data is handled in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or for essential booking and payment processing services.
Participants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting Atelier Māya.
By completing a booking, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
